Korean Air Will Give Three Airbus A350 Planes to T'way Air

Japan Airlines A350 Catches Fire on Runway at Tokyo Haneda Airport, Killing Five
01/02/2024 - (George Mwangi) A Japan Airlines Airbus A350-900 aircraft caught on fire after landing on a runway at Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) on January 2. The A350 had flames inside that were seen coming out of the plane's windows and below the aircraft. The plane collided with an aircraft from the Japan Coast Guard that was on the runway at the same time. All 379 passengers and crew onboard were safely evacuated, with no deaths or life-threatening injuries reported.
FAA Grounds 171 Boeing 737 MAX 9s After Mid-Air Alaska Airlines Incident Raises Safety Concerns
01/06/2024 - (Franco Grobler) The year has barely started, and multiple airlines have already lost or were forced to ground certain aircraft in their fleets. Japan Airlines lost an Airbus A350-900 in a fiery crash, Alaska Airlines is scrambling to salvage its fleet, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded 171 Boeing aircraft for safety reasons. The latter two events are due to an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 suffering a mid-air incident on January 5. Shortly after takeoff from Portland, Oregon (PDX), on its way to Ontario, California (ONT), a section of the fuselage, including a window, blew out, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing back in its origin city.
