Techo Takhmao International Airport will feature three 13,123-foot (4,000-meter) runways and will be the world's ninth largest airport by size, covering 6,425 acres (2,600 hectares). It will fully replace the existing Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH), which was initially aimed to be expanded. Rafael Viñoly Architects, the firm responsible for the transformation, recently revealed more details about the renovation. The small tourist-heavy airport will construct a 38-row, 19-acre vineyard on the roof of the new terminal building. The airport has not witnessed a major renovation since 1999.
