NEWS Sep 05, 2022 Hundreds of Flights Cancelled After Lufthansa Pilots Strike The Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union stated that Lufthansa pilots would begin a 24-hour strike starting at midnight Thursday. The reason: the airline's 5,000-member union went on strike after being denied a requested 5.5% pay increase and automatic inflation bumps. NEWS Aug 30, 2022 Lufthansa Receives its First Ever Boeing 787 On the afternoon of August 29, 2022, Lufthansa's first-ever Boeing 787 Dreamliner lifted off from Boeing's main headquarters at Everett Paine Field near Seattle, Washington. The following morning at 11:02 local time, the aircraft landed in Frankfurt, Germany (FRA).
