The brand new 777, N779XW, departed from Paine Field at 10:30AM local time. After a few hours of flight tests and photography, the plane landed at Boeing Field, also located in Washington State. NEWS Dec 31, 1969 Boeing 777X First Flight Postponed After 3 hours on the taxiway, the 777X first flight has officially been postponed. Earlier today, the 777X was supposed to go on its first flight today at 9:30am Pacific Time. However, the weather was not cooperating well. Due to gusty winds, the 777X registered N779XW had to wait on the runway before taking off. While the aircraft was awaiting clearance for takeoff, Boeing set a time limit at 1:30pm. NEWS Dec 31, 1969 LOT Polish Rumored to Take Former Singapore 777s LOT Polish is rumored to take new 777's.Singapore Airlines incoming A350-900 and B787-10 are replacing the carrier's B777-200ER. The aircraft will be handed back to Boeing's leasing company, Boeing Capital Corporation. The expectation is that LOT Polish will receive its aircraft in June of 2020. Read More →
ROUTES Dec 31, 1969 Delta Announces A Package of Routes from Miami Delta will launch four new routes from Miami in 2020 to bolster its partnership with LATAM. The airline will launch flights from Miami to Orlando, Raleigh-Durham, Salt Lake City, Tampa. With the new connections, Delta will offer 41 daily flights to 10 U.S. destinations including its hubs in Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis-MSP, New York-JFK, New York-LGA.
