As part of a sponsorship change with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines has now become the official airline of the U.S. Olympic team. Delta has paid $400 million for their eight-year deal, presumably expecting that with the branding and soft power they'll get, they will make more money in the long run. The change is quite significant as United held the role as official airline for over 40 years, and now for at least the next eight, Delta will take United's place. As a result of these changes, they have unveiled a new livery celebrating their new role as a team ambassador.
