NEWS Sep 22, 2022 VIDEO: Sparks Fly From United Airlines 777-200 as it Departs Newark Airport, Makes Emergency Landing United Airlines flight 149, a scheduled service from Newark/New York (EWR) to Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU) departed at 11:24 pm when it experienced suspected engine trouble. The aircraft in question is N787UA, a Boeing 777-200ER in United's new livery. After takeoff, the aircraft entered a holding pattern over the Atlantic Ocean, displaying an altitude of FL240 (24,000 feet) on FlightRadar24. NEWS Sep 11, 2022 United Airlines Places Order for 200 eVTOL Air Taxis On Thursday, United Airlines announced its order of 200 Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) air taxis with Eve. The Embraer-owned startup, Eve Air Mobility, has made a $15 million pre-purchase agreement with United for 200 aircraft, with an option of 200 more available.
