ROUTES Jan 22, 2024 Air France Announces Paris-Phoenix Route to Accommodate High Demand Ahead of 2024 Summer Olympics Air France has announced plans to launch nonstop flights between Phoenix (PHX) and Paris (CDG) on May 23. NEWS Jan 11, 2024 British Airways Pilot Kidnapped and Tortured Outside Supermarket During Stopover in Johannesburg A British Airways pilot was kidnapped and tortured by a large group of criminals during a stopover in Johannesburg on January 10. The pilot was "shaken" by the attack after being forced to give up "thousands and thousands" of pounds to the attackers in exchange for his release. ROUTES Jun 13, 2023 Turkish Airlines Announces Detroit Flights Turkish Airlines, Turkey's flag carrier, has yet again expanded its route network. As of November 15, 2023, the airline will be adding Detroit to its network with three to four weekly flights. ROUTES Jun 05, 2023 Air Canada Connects World's Largest Aerospace Hubs, Expands to Toulouse and Copenhagen On the same day, June 1, 2023, Air Canada inaugurated two routes simultaneously from their growing Montreal (YUL) hub.
