Breeze Airways Unveils 12-Route Expansion and 4 New Destinations

SALT LAKE CITY – In a move that significantly broadens its footprint across the Eastern United States and into the Caribbean, Breeze Airways has today, January 28, 2026, announced a major network expansion. The "Seriously Nice" carrier is adding 12 new nonstop routes and introducing service to four key cities, including a high-profile international leap and a long-awaited return to the Texas market.

The expansion marks a milestone for the airline as it transitions into its fifth year of operation, leveraging its fuel-efficient Airbus A220-300 fleet to connect underserved markets that legacy carriers have long bypassed.

New Horizons: Atlantic City, Brownsville, and Nassau Join the Map

The headline of today’s announcement is the addition of three brand-new destinations and the restoration of a fourth. Starting in May, Breeze will touch down at Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) in New Jersey and Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) in Texas.

Furthermore, the airline is bolstering its international presence by adding Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) as its fourth global destination, joining Cancun, Montego Bay, and Punta Cana in its portfolio of tropical escapes.

Rounding out the "New Four" is a triumphant return to San Antonio (SAT). After a four-year hiatus, Breeze will once again serve the historic Texas city with multiple nonstop links to the Southeast.

“Breeze’s convenient, direct service to underserved destinations continues to resonate with travellers, and we’re eager to introduce Brownsville and Atlantic City to our unique, elevated product offering,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “We’re also excited to welcome new and returning Guests in historic San Antonio after four years away and to add Nassau as our fourth international destination as we prepare to kick off an exciting season of summer travel.”

The "Summer 2026" Schedule

Breeze is not just adding dots to the map; it is connecting them with aggressive, twice-weekly frequencies designed to capture peak summer leisure demand.

Disrupting the Regional Monopoly

The entry into Atlantic City is particularly significant. Breeze’s new flights to Charleston and Raleigh-Durham will provide the airport with its only commercial service to destinations outside of Florida, offering a direct challenge to the dominance of Spirit and Allegiant in the region.

Stephen F. Dougherty, Executive Director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority, emphasised the local impact:

“The new routes give travellers from the southern New Jersey/Philadelphia region a more convenient access to two popular and growing destinations, whether they are flying for business, visiting family, or enjoying a weekend getaway.”

The A220 Advantage

By early 2026, Breeze will have largely completed its shift to a 100% Airbus A220-300 mainline operation. The aircraft’s efficiency on "long and thin" routes, such as the new 1,842-mile trek between Louisville and Los Angeles, allows Breeze to maintain profitability on routes that would be unsustainable for larger, less efficient narrowbodies.

With introductory fares starting as low as $39, Breeze is positioning itself as the primary beneficiary of the "premium leisure" trend, offering high-speed Wi-Fi, no change fees, and its signature "Breeze Ascent" product to a market hungry for convenience without the hub-and-spoke headache.
