Investigating
Material Challenges
in eVTOL Production

A conversation built for engineers, manufacturers, and MRO leaders looking to stay ahead of the curve.
Amid the rise in electric aircraft, the materials engineers specify are increasingly deciding what's possible — and what's compliant. Join AGC Chemicals Americas for a live panel exploring how advanced polymers, elastomers, coatings, and solvents are solving real-world challenges across the aerospace industry, from eVTOL wire insulation to fleet-wide lifecycle savings.

About This Webinar

What We'll Cover

Advanced materials are quietly solving some of the aerospace industry's hardest engineering problems, from the electrification of flight to the everyday wear of high-speed operation. In this live, moderated panel discussion, experts from AGC Chemicals Americas will unpack how speciality polymers, elastomers, coatings, and solvents are helping engineers, manufacturers, and MRO providers push past the limits of traditional materials, without adding weight, cost, or compliance risk.

The conversation spans five areas where material choices are reshaping aerospace engineering and operations:

  • Wire insulation built to handle higher voltages and harsher thermal loads without adding weight as aircraft electrify
  • Fluoroelastomer seals that hold their flexibility and sealing pressure through extreme thermal cycling and aggressive fluids in fluid lines, landing gear, and engine components
  • Release films that cut scrap and downtime in composite manufacturing
  • Coatings that stretch repaint cycles well beyond the industry standard while resisting UV, weather, and high-speed wear
  • Next-generation solvents that deliver precision cleanliness for critical components without the regulatory exposure of legacy chemistries

Attendees will come away with a practical framework for weighing these material trade-offs, how factors like weight, safety, and qualification requirements stack up against performance in demanding environments, and how longer lifespans and maintenance cycles translate into real savings.

AeroXplorer

Shashi Ishara is an Aircraft Engineering graduate from Kingston University, with a passion for aviation that has stayed with him since childhood. That early fascination eventually became a career, and today he has over 13 years of experience in the aviation and aerospace industry, spanning both technical and managerial roles in aircraft component manufacturing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. He can still spot and identify most commercial aircraft from a distance, a small but telling reminder of where it all began.
