China Eastern Airlines Sees Record Passenger Traffic After Introducing New Routes for Lunar New Year

The Shanghai-based carrier conducted 24,800 flights and served more than 3.56 million passengers. China Eastern's strong passenger numbers are part of a strong recovery in China's aviation sector in recent months.
Transgender Chinese Woman Accuses Flight Attendant of Using Wrong Pronoun
06/17/2023 - (George Mwangi) A transgender Chinese woman has accused a flight attendant of treating her unfairly after refusing to use her proper pronouns. The woman got angry when she noticed that the flight attendants in business class were addressing the passengers with their surnames and appropriate pronouns. After not being referred to by the proper pronoun, she asked to speak with the chief flight attendant.
China Eastern Airlines Receives Second C919 Aircraft
07/17/2023 - (George Mwangi) On July 16, China's second domestically developed C919 aircraft was delivered to Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines. China is developing the COMAC C919 to provide a domestically produced alternative to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families. The first C919 aircraft completed its inaugural flight from Shanghai to Beijing on May 28.
