Norse Atlantic Airways Launches Expansion Out of London Gatwick

Norse Atlantic Airways Launches Expansion Out of London Gatwick

BY BRANDON MCLEISH Published on March 09, 2023 0 COMMENTS

There is now a new way to get to Europe! Norse Atlantic Airways will be launching four transatlantic routes from London Gatwick this summer totaling seven destinations in the US in the coming months. Some of the destinations include Boston, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. As London Heathrow is one of the busiest and most flown-to destinations out of all of the aforementioned airports, Norse is looking to provide an alternative for passengers looking to hop the pond.

Norse will be operating approximately 36 flights a week and the information is as follows:

Boston: x5 flights per week (September 2nd)

Fort Lauderdale: x3 flights per week (May 26th)

Los Angeles: daily (June 30th)

New York-JFK: daily

Orlando International: x4 flights per week (May 25th)

San Francisco: x3 flights per week (July 1st)

CEOs of both Gatwick Airport and Norse Atlantic Airways have noted the benefit of the routes that will be available as well as the jobs that will be created as a result. Norse will also be serving more routes to the U.S. out of Gatwick than any other airline.

Norse Atlantic Airways is still a very new carrier originally based out of Oslo operating a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners but is slowly building bases and operating routes at other airports, similar to Norwegian's philosophy in the past. Although this rapid expansion of routes is what led to the demise of Norwegian, Norse is taking a more cautious approach.
