To address the massive surge in ski season travel, JetBlue will be adding service to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Montana. On top of that, the carrier will be elevating its service offering by deploying its coveted Mint Business Class product to the city.

Service Increases

JetBlue currently serves Bozeman (BZN) with seasonal service from its hubs in Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK). During the height of Montana's ski season, JetBlue announced in a press release that it will begin offering Mint Business Class service to Bozeman.

On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, JetBlue's flights from Boston and JFK to Bozeman will be operated by Mint-configured Airbus A321s. However, JetBlue will continue deploying its standard "Core" A321s with all-economy configurations at other points during the week.

Bozeman is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. During the winter, it becomes packed with travelers looking to enjoy scenic ski resorts in the area and everything that Bozeman has to offer regarding winter activities.

JetBlue says that adding Mint service to Bozeman reflects its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its customers. Its Mint Business Class is widely regarded as one of the best in the United States, cementing the airline's position as a leader in premium leisure travel.

Dave Jehn, JetBlue's Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, commented the following on this service update:

"We are excited to introduce our award-winning Mint experience to Bozeman and Big Sky, enhancing the travel experience for our customers flying from Boston and New York. With the introduction of Mint and the increased frequency of flights on weekends, we are committed to offering our customers premium travel options, making their journey to Bozeman and back an exceptional experience."

Evolving Strategy

JetBlue deploying Mint service to Bozeman is a move that the carrier has made amid its focus on providing customers with elevated experiences to popular destinations.

This is all part of the airline's "JetForward" strategy. The airline focuses on leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) routes from its Northeast strongholds as a means to strengthen its position as a leader in leisure and premium leisure travel.

JetBlue is the largest airline in Boston offering domestic lie-flat seats. That means they are offering more lie-flat seats from Boston than even the likes of legacy carriers Delta and American.

JetBlue recently added Mint service to Vancouver, Canada (YVR) and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), further underscoring its commitment to elevating the travel experience on leisure and VFR routes.

In the Mint cabin, passengers can enjoy fully lie-flat beds with Tuft & Needle foam cushions, comforters, and pillows. Each seat has a 15-inch (or larger) TV screen with free on-demand shows and Live TV.

The dining experience is provided by Delicious Hospitality Group (DHG) restaurants while passengers also receive priority check-in and boarding. Furthermore, passengers receive amenity kits onboard and can also access free internet throughout the flight.
