یک جت تجاری حامل هشت نفر هنگام تلاش برای ترک Bangor International Airport در شب یکشنبه، 25 ژانویه، در جریان یک طوفان شدید زمستانی سقوط کرد.
هواپیما که بهعنوان Bombardier Challenger 650 شناسایی شده، کمی قبل از ساعت 8:00 PM ET دچار سانحه شد.
محققان فدرال از FAA و NTSB یک بررسی مشترک دربارهٔ این سقوط شب یکشنبه آغاز کردهاند.

در زمان تلاش برای برخاستن، دادههای هواشناسی محلی شرایط شدیدی را نشان میداد که احتمالاً عملیات را مختل کرده است:
- Temperature: A frigid 2°F (-16°C).
- Visibility: Restricted to 3/4 of a mile due to light snowfall.
- Atmospheric Conditions: Ongoing subfreezing temperatures and poor visibility across Penobscot County.
روند برخاست و گزارشهای شاهدان عینی
اگرچه فرودگاه بهخاطر باندهای طولانیاش که اغلب برای سوختگیری پروازهای ترنسآتلانتیک استفاده میشوند شناخته شده است، شاهدان از وقوع یک خرابی فاجعهبار در هنگام ترک هواپیما خبر دادند.
بر اساس گفتههای حاضر در محل، جت تقریباً بلافاصله پس از جدا شدن از زمین شروع به «لرزیدن» کرد.
به گزارشها، هواپیما سپس روی سقف خود واژگون شد و هنگام برخورد دچار آتشسوزی شد.
امدادگران ظرف چند دقیقه در صحنه حاضر شدند، اما شرکت مستقر در Houston که مالک جت است هنوز بیانیهٔ رسمی منتشر نکرده است.

اهمیت منطقهای
Bangor International Airport بهعنوان یک مرکز حیاتی سفر برای شمال ایالت Maine خدمت میکند و در فاصلهٔ تقریبی 50 miles از مرز Canada قرار دارد.
نقش آن بهعنوان یک دروازهٔ راهبردی به این معنی است که تعطیلی موقت باندهایش میتواند تأثیر قابل توجهی بر سفرهای منطقهای و توقفهای بینالمللی برای سوختگیری داشته باشد.

Sounds like a similar event to Florida flight 90, snow/ice on the aircraft disrupting lift/air flow over the wings.

I can only imagine that the 650 has a takeoff configuration warning system. So, unless it was INOP or the crew ignored it, you can assume the flaps and trim were set correctly for takeoff. That would leave contamination on the wings and tail for the loss of control at liftoff. If an aircraft gets deiced and then exceeds the holdover time of the deicer used it is often worse off than before deicing. Praying for the best of all involved.
