  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

The above airports are hubs for Delta Air Lines, except for Cincinnati. The airline also offers nonstop flights to Europe from its Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) hubs.

New York-JFK

Delta plans to offer almost 260 weekly flights to 29 destinations across 18 European countries next summer. A new daily service to Naples International Airport (NAP) in Italy will launch on May 23. Naples is the closest airport to popular destinations in southern Italy, such as the Amalfi Coast.

Delta also serves the following Italian destinations with direct flights from New York-JFK:

  • Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
  • Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in Rome
  • Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE)

Finally, Delta will introduce nonstop flights to Munich Airport (MUC) in Germany on April 9. The route will operate three times weekly, expanding on existing routes to Berlin Brandenberg Airport (BER) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Passengers interested in Munich could previously only go directly there on Lufthansa.

Atlanta

Delta will relaunch its route from Atlanta to Zurich Airport (ZRH) in Switzerland on May 31. The service, scheduled to operate four times weekly, is Delta's first time serving Switzerland from Atlanta. Delta serves 21 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa through 180 weekly flights.

Aside from Switzerland, passengers will have more opportunities to visit Paris and Venice. Delta will increase its weekly flights to Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Venice. Both cities are among the most popular European destinations for Americans to visit.

Los Angeles

Passengers interested in exploring the Asia-Pacific region will have more opportunities from LAX. Delta's previously announced service to Auckland Airport (AKL) will become a year-round route. The airline will provide flights daily from November to March and three times weekly from April to October.

China, one of the world's most popular travel destinations before the pandemic, will become easier to visit now that the country's borders have reopened. Delta will resume its year-round service to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) on March 31. Flights will operate four times weekly, and passengers can connect to other Chinese cities through Delta's partnership with Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines.

Delta also offers nonstop flights to European cities for passengers interested in Europe. The airline serves Paris and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) from LAX.

The coming months will be exciting for international travel, with all these routes launching or returning. Delta's transatlantic and transpacific flights offer four cabin classes: Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, Delta Premium Select, and Delta One (Suites). Amenities in all cabin classes include food and beverages and access to more than 1,000 hours of in-flight entertainment. Passengers may want to look at their travel bucket list and book flights to their favorite destinations.
